Active8 offers a combination of three programs: Eat Plant Learn (group program), Coaching for Physical Health (one-to-one program) and Kick the Habit (one-to-one program).

All three of the programs support participants to identify and work on physical health-related goals, engagement with health services and self-management.

Coaching for Physical Health and Eat Plant Learn are led by peer workers who are involved in every aspect of program delivery. They bring their own experience of recovery and use this to enhance the consumers experience of this program.

To be eligible for the program, people must have an experience of mental ill-health, have an identified physical health goal, be aged over 16 and live in the Illawarra Shoalhaven or South Eastern NSW region.

There are programs available in the following locations:

  • Wollongong - Neami National
  • Warilla - Illawarra Women’s Health Centre
  • Nowra - Mia Mia Wellbeing Hub
