My Health Record carers toolkit

IMG MHR carer

A My Health Record carers toolkit has been launched for use as an ongoing resource for carers and those they support.

A key priority of the Australian Digital Health Agency is to improve use and adoption of My Health Record. A My Health Record carers toolkit has been launched for use as an ongoing resource for carers and those they support.

My Health Record is an electronic summary record of an individual's health information that can be shared securely online between an individual, their carers and registered healthcare providers. It means that, in an emergency, clinicians have access to potentially life-saving information, and it also supports and improves decision making and continuity of care.

To promote broad community awareness of My Health Record, a series of toolkits will be developed over the next year showcasing the different benefits of My Health Record for consumers and health professionals. These toolkits will be tailored for different target audiences and include a range of multimedia content.

To kickstart this initiative the carers toolkit was produced to explain how My Health Record can assist carers.
